Education

Applied Mathematics Major and Public Administration Minor at Northeastern Illinois University. Current GPA: 3.9

Experience

Tutoring Elementary Students -Helped students, 5th grader and 2nd grader, in their own home, understand concepts on their homework assignments, directions asked on the assignments, practiced reading and writing with them along with new vocabulary words, practiced penmanship, practiced math problems and summarized what lessons they learned that day. When I tutored previous elementary students, I felt empowered. I was happy that the students were getting the help and understanding they needed. I loved communicating with the student cause I understood their frustration and worked with them on the same level. This is why I want to be a tutor again! I've taken Calculus I my freshman year of college and a final grade of A. I've taken Discrete Mathematics with a final grade of A. I'm currently taking Calculus II in Summer and will finish next week. For the Fall 2012 semester, I'll be taking Calculus III, Linear Algebra, and Computing for Mathematicians!
