Education

Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Master of Arts in Medical Sciences from Loyola University Chicago

Experience

I have a wide variety of experiencing teaching people of different ages and backgrounds, ranging from gifted children and refugees to college students. These were done through a variety of ways that include former employment with my undergraduate biology department and the Center For Talent Development at Northwestern University. With an extensive academic background that includes a BS in Molecular & Cellular Biology and a MA in Medical Sciences I promise to aid you to the best of my ability. I will be free to tutor up until the middle of this summer before I start medical school. Additionally, if there are any pre-medical students out there, or if you're considering embarking on such a journey, I would be more than happy to answer questions and help you out with application prep. I can review your Personal Statements or secondary essay drafts and provide feedback. Examples of coursework completed in my graduate program are: Anatomy & Physiology I/II, Biochemistry, Immunology, and Cellular biology. I am willing to help those preparing for the MCAT with the Biology/Biochemistry section (scored in the 91st percentile). I firmly believe every student has the potential to succeed, but sometimes they require a positive influence and an individualized approach to teaching, so contact me today and we can work together to achieve your goal!

Hobbies

My primary interests include educating others in the biological sciences and about preventative medicine, community service and outreach, and assisting underrepresented/disadvantaged groups with navigating today's complex healthcare environment. In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends and travel to new places in and around Chicago or outside the state. In addition, I occasionally enjoy delving into a good science fiction novel (got any recommendations?) and just recently finished 'Annihilation' by Jeff VanderMeer. It was so good! I'm also an avid cinephile, so you'll often find me relaxing at home and watching a new film ("In Nolan We Trust").
